Chicago
Illinois, U.S.A. – Thursday, June 14th, 2012
Approaching the Chicago skyline on the Dan Ryan Expressway for an afternoon of sightseeing and picture taking. Specifically, we would be looking for Chicago's collection of public art and sculptures. Last time I explored Chicago at street level on foot was during my 7th grade overnight field trip, so I was definitely overdue for another walking tour, considering I've driven through the city countless times since. After parking our car downtown ($10 for the entire day, beat that Six Flags) we wandered over to Michigan Avenue getting our first up-close look at Chicago's architecture. Crossing Michigan Avenue into Grant Park. Michigan Avenue Skyscrapers looming over the peaceful green of Grant Park. Dad stopping to fill up a water bottle.
