Skyscrapers reflected on Cloud Gate Bent light A distorted world Cloud Gate Who's that taking a picture, there? Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower Important public notices Looking back at Cloud Gate At the Pritzker Pavilion we caught this band warming up for a concert later that night. I looked them up and found they were a group called "Deerhoof". They actually weren't too bad, though my camera's microphone is crap with the wind. Too bad no one else was there to listen! Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park, designed by Frank Gehry. Next up: The Aon Center Looking up 83 stories to a 1136 foot pinnacle Aon Center Aon Center In the Aon Center Plaza: "Sounding Sculptures" by Henry Bertoia These "musical sculptures" are inspired by the image of Midwestern wheat fields swaying in the breeze. They're hollow and made of thin copper, so when the wind blows the rods make a strange metallic music. You can also walk right up to the base of the Aon Center. Looking straight up 1136 feet up Am I in Blade Runner or something? Aqua, 859 feet tall, with it's cool undulating balconies Supposedly this is the largest American skyscraper ever headed by a woman. That actually seems sort of sad. Metallic deer sculptures I do not know the name or origins of Looking up between the Aon Center and Two Prudential Plaza Reflection off a skyscraper Wrigley Building Impressive graffiti Standing at the base of a steel, concrete, and glass canyon A true existentialist.
