Python doing its thing on 1100 feet of track. There's a helix thrown in the middle, and it finishes with some gentler curves and dips that don't quite live up to the intensity of the first couple of drops. Overall it was enjoyable for what it was, which wasn't much. Map of Coney Island. Where to next? I had already bought my tickets. Rock-O-Plane Height limit on the Rock-O-Plane. A large group of people got in line just before me so I decided to save it for a bit later once they had been moved through. The Flying Bobs was just letting on so I hopped on that. Appears to be a slightly older model The motor turns the wheels which in turn sets the arms in motion. It started off okay, but after a minute or two the ride slowed down to a stop. I thought we were preparing to go backwards because I saw it doing that earlier in the day, but everyone got out at that point instead. Was seen running backwards later in the day as well. Not sure why I got the short cycle, but I've read other reports that seem to indicate this unpredictable behavior is not uncommon. Back on the Python for another back row ride. Python POV I total I got three rides on Python, once in the second row and twice in the third. I might have tried a fourth time to get the front, but the line was growing to ten to fifteen minutes. The Rock-O-Plane seemed a much better use of time. Although it looks a lot like a Ferris Wheel, there's a handle inside your car that you can lock and unlock the spinning of the car, allowing you to do flips and somersaults if you time it right. It's sort of a Zipper that you can control the experience of, and in my opinion is probably the most fun ride that can be found at Coney Island. I've not been on a Rock-O-Plane in ages so it was nice to find one here. The Super Round Up was letting on riders just as I was walking by so I figured why not, as long as I had the unlimited wristband. These sorts of rides still make for a fun, hands-on experiment with centrifugal force, which is good because there's not much else the experience has going for it. Overlooking Coney Island's ride section Turning further back into the park where some of the older landscaping and buildings remain. Found this Magnolia tree along one of the midways, which is something you absolutely cannot find at Kings Island. Moonlite Pavilion The Administration Building, which appears to have been here for a while. Note the flood height marker in the upper right. More park landscaping. Kings Island would have replaced this area with Backlot Stunt Coaster. Children's Helicopter Ride
